How to Preserve Foraged Mushrooms? Make a Delectable Duxelle!

You can probably tell that I was pretty excited to be gifted this bounty of puffball and fairy ring (Marasmius oreades) mushrooms!  We ate some for supper right away, but I knew I had to look further into ways that I could preserve these amazing mushrooms in tasty ways for future meals too.
