Your Yard is a Universe
Last year I took part in the Rooted Medicine Circle — a nine-month, hands-on journey into learning how to work with plants as medicine, guided by Rosalee de la Forêt and Emily Han.
This video was created as my capstone project. It explores the idea that your yard is its own universe — and how we can gently reduce “plant blindness” in our everyday lives. Along the way, I share reflections inspired by the course themes and how they’ve shaped my life and work here in Saskatchewan’s aspen woodland.
You can find some really nifty "plant blindness" posters here!
These wonderful women are also authors, and you may wish to explore their books. I’ve found each of these to be excellent resources. (Affiliate links below)

The course deepened my curiosity and reminded me that learning is a lifelong practice.

What’s your current learning project? I’d truly love to hear about it.
